DEMO SITE — Hayward's Barbers is a fictional business built by FO Digital to show what your site would do. No real bookings, no real payments, no card is ever sent anywhere.
Four barbers, one room on Fenwick Row, since 2011.
Book the chair you want, with the barber you want, in about thirty seconds.
£5 deposit, comes off your bill, free to cancel up to 24 hours before.
Danny opened this room in 2011
with two chairs and a card machine that never worked.
Eleven years in a Soho shop before that, most of them wishing he could just
run the place properly: book people in honestly, tell them the price before they sit down,
and pay the barbers a wage instead of renting them a chair and taking a cut.
Fenwick Row was a dry cleaner's when he took the lease. The mirrors came from a
shop closing down on Exmouth Market, the chairs were rebuilt twice, and the pole outside has been
repainted every spring since. Four chairs now, four barbers on salary, and the same
policy from day one: if you cannot make it, tell us the day before and it costs you nothing.
15 years, three of the four barbers have been here more
than four, and a good number of the people in the chair on a Saturday were in it in 2011.
Four chairs, one long mirror, and a kettle that is always on.
No music you have to shout over, no upselling, no product wall. It is a barbershop.
The chairs came out of a shop closing on Exmouth Market. Rebuilt twice.Mid-morning, before the after-work rush. The hot towel shave, still done the long way.Everything laid out before the first appointment.

What people say
Reviews live on Google, not here.
These are illustrative, because this is a demo shop. On a real site they are pulled from the
Google Business Profile, which is the only place review stars can legitimately come from.
“Best fade in EC1 and I have tried most of them. Priya actually listens to what you ask for.”

Questions
Before you book.
Can I cancel a booking?
Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before your appointment. Cancel from the confirmation email or the Manage booking box on this page, and your £5 deposit is refunded in full, automatically. Inside 24 hours the deposit is retained, which is what pays the barber for the empty chair.
Why is there a £5 deposit?
Because a missed appointment costs a barber the whole slot. The £5 comes off your bill on the day, so a £32 skin fade is still £32. It exists only to make the 24-hour cancellation window mean something.
Do I need an account to book?
No. Name, mobile and email, then the deposit. Four taps from this page to a confirmed chair.
Do you take walk-ins?
When a chair is free, yes. Saturdays are almost always fully booked by Thursday, so book if it matters.
Which payment methods do you take in the shop?
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and cash. The deposit online is card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
Do you cut children's hair?
Yes. Under 12s is £18. Sam and Danny are the two to book for a first haircut.
Is the shop accessible?
Street level, no step at the door, and the front chair has clear space beside it. The toilet is not wheelchair accessible, which we would rather tell you now than on the day.
Where can I park?
Fenwick Row is permit-only. The nearest pay-and-display is Cyrus Street, three minutes' walk. Farringdon and Barbican are both about eight minutes on foot.
